Power of Praise

Message From Blessed Virgin Mary - 11/28/24 at 6:00pm

MARY:

Dear Children,

Let your praises rise each day to God Most High. Every hymn of love expressed in your daily life weakens the adversary of your soul. True praise is not merely a song, but a potent spiritual weapon—a force that the enemy dreads when offered with sincere devotion to Almighty God.

Know that authentic worship, flowing from hearts consecrated to my Son, serves as a shield against the snares of evil. When you lift your hearts in genuine adoration—whether during moments of great joy and elation unto God, in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, or when you sing divine praises before the Real Presence of my Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, who is enthroned in every tabernacle of the Church throughout the world—your inner life is enhanced, you are shielded from temptation, and you are drawn ever closer to the light of my Son.

In the life of a Christian, prayer and praise are powerful tools that not only deepen one’s relationship with God but also serve as a shield against the forces of darkness. This truth is firmly rooted in both the Bible and the teachings of the Catholic Church. to God is one of the most powerful ways to engage with Him. It’s not just a joyful expression of worship; it is a weapon of spiritual warfare, offering us strength and protection as we walk in the faith.

Biblical References:

  1. Praise Invites God's Presence:
In Psalm 22:3, it is written, “Yet you are holy, enthroned on the praises of Israel.” This verse shows us that God’s presence is drawn to our praise. When we praise God, we invite Him into our lives, and the enemy is repelled.

  2. Praise as a Weapon Against Darkness:
2 Chronicles 20:22 recounts how, when the people of Israel praised God during a battle, “As they began to sing and praise, the Lord set ambushes against the men of Ammon and Moab.” Praise confounds the enemy, and through it, God’s power is made manifest in our lives.

  3. The Power of Praising God in Times of Trouble:
Acts 16:25-26 shows Paul and Silas praying and singing hymns to God in prison. “Suddenly, there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everyone’s chains came loose.” Their praise brought forth God's intervention in a time of trouble.

  4. Praise Strengthens the Faithful:
Psalm 34:1 says, “I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth.” Praise helps us keep our focus on God, especially when we face difficulties, reminding us of His goodness, mercy, and power.

Catechism References:

  1. Catechism of the Catholic Church - Section 2639:
“The Church’s praise to God is a continual response to His love and mercy. Praise is the fruit of the Spirit, and it unites us to God in a joyful and unceasing way.”

  2. Catechism - Section 2641:
“Praise is the first and last prayer of the Church, the prayer of heaven, which is united with the eternal praise of God by the angels and saints.” Praise to God is central to our relationship with Him and prepares us to join in the heavenly worship of God for all eternity.

  3. Catechism - Section 2643:
“Praise is the Church’s most ancient and essential form of prayer, from the first day of the Church, as the Apostles and disciples praised God in unity and joy.” This emphasizes that praise is integral to our Christian vocation and is a form of prayer that has been practiced since the early Church.
