Jesus: Follow Me—Never Walk Ahead of Me
Message From Jesus To the Little Apostle of the True Faith on 03/25/2025
JESUS:
Dear Followers of My Sacred Heart,
I Am the Way, the Truth, and the Life! May My peace be with you!
Truly I say unto you: Do not hasten to serve Me in such a way that you transgress My will for you, for no follower may go ahead of the Master or attempt to lead Him.
I, the Lord, Am your Shepherd and your Guide. I lead My followers along the path of righteousness, and I invite you to walk in My footsteps, trusting in My wisdom and learning all of Me.
Never run ahead of Me, nor attempt to advance beyond My will, lest you become a lost sheep, ensnared by the deceptions of pride hidden in the depths of your soul. Remain patient and humble, for I will always protect and sustain you as you journey with Me.
Will you place your trust in Me?
Never, beloved, think that by trusting in Me, you will be disappointed. Do you not know that I, too, place all My trust in you?
My followers, I have entrusted you with boundless graces. From the moment I called you to experience My love, I desired that you know Me deeply and serve Me with the purity of that love.
If you remain patient, you will walk with Me. Together, side by side, we shall triumph! You shall be My hands, My feet, My mouth, and My Heart; and My mercy within you will bring delight to all around you.

Theological Commentary:
The Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC 2609) reminds us that trustful surrender to God is the heart of prayer and the beginning of true discipleship. To run ahead of Christ, attempting to define our own path, risks the subtle sin of pride—a rejection of His Lordship.
Ecclesiastical Teachings and Reflections:
"Saint John Paul II, in Redemptor Hominis, reminds us that our vocation is not merely to act, but to follow: ‘The Redeemer of man fully reveals man to himself… only in union with Christ does the human person discover their true purpose.’ Likewise, Pope Benedict XVI, in Deus Caritas Est, stresses the need to ‘abide’ in Christ’s love rather than rush ahead in self-driven zeal."
Catholic Doctrine and Mystical Insights:
"Church dogma teaches that Christ’s humanity and divinity perfectly harmonize in a single purpose: the redemption of souls. Mystical theology, as seen in the writings of Saint John of the Cross, calls us to walk the ‘dark night’ in trust—not to hasten the journey, but to stay close to the Shepherd who leads us through trials to ultimate union with Him. This spiritual truth is reflected in Canon Law, which calls every cleric and layperson to fidelity and humility under Christ’s guidance."
Return to the image of the shepherd and sheep as the narrator offers a final exhortation:
"In all things, Christ remains the Master. To walk with Him—trusting His wisdom, obeying His will, and following in His footsteps—leads us to holiness. The Church, standing on Scripture, Tradition, and the authority of the Magisterium, calls us to this humble discipleship. Let us pray for the grace to stay by His side, that together we may one day enter the eternal fold of His glory.
