LITTLE APOSTLE:
On May 26, 2026, at approximately 6:00 a.m., after praying the Holy Rosary for the Holy Souls in Purgatory, I experienced something so deeply sorrowful that my heart was moved with profound compassion and love.
As I concluded my prayers, I suddenly began to feel very ill. A severe cough came upon me, and within moments I felt as though I could not breathe. The sensation became so intense that I felt I was losing air and struggling for breath. Immediately, I sensed that I was being granted a mystical participation in the final sufferings endured by a soul before its passage into eternity.
As this occurred, scenes began to unfold before me as though I were witnessing a living movie. I found myself perceiving what appeared to be the final moments of a woman. She seemed to be in her thirties, with long dark hair. She appeared exhausted, weak, and deprived of food and water.
The conditions surrounding her were dreadful. The place where she was confined seemed to have little ventilation and almost no fresh air. Her health steadily declined as she struggled to breathe.
The year was 1946, in the aftermath of war in Herzegovina, then part of Yugoslavia. I sensed turmoil and conflict in the region. In the distance, I perceived sounds of unrest and military activity. The woman appeared to be confined in what seemed like a cavern or underground place. There were others present somewhere nearby, though separated from her.
She was a Catholic woman who had placed her trust in God. During her suffering, she prayed with great faith, knowing that little earthly help would come to her. The impression I received was that she had been imprisoned during the communist persecutions that affected parts of Herzegovina following the Second World War.
As the experience continued, the feeling of suffocation became increasingly intense. I felt the desperation of someone deprived of air and trapped in confinement. The struggle for breath grew worse until, suddenly, it ended. I understood that these were the final moments preceding her death.
At that moment, an interior understanding came to me that this soul had remained in Purgatory since the time of her death in 1946. I sensed that the Blessed Mother, in her maternal care, had applied the prayers that had just been offered through the Holy Rosary for the relief of her soul. I then perceived that this soul was being granted great mercy and was ascending toward Heaven.
The name I perceived clearly was Katerina Pavlović, and that she was from the area of Čitluk, a town in Herzegovina near present-day Međugorje.
The following day, while once again praying the Holy Rosary for the Holy Souls, I received a message from Our Lady that this same soul had entered into the joy of Heaven and now rejoiced in the presence of God.
Her suffering had passed, and I was granted a glimpse of her heavenly happiness. She appeared radiant with peace, joy, and gratitude.
This experience brought profound consolation to my heart and further strengthened my conviction regarding the immense value of praying for the souls undergoing purification.
